Touch the Japanese calm spirit

Japanese become calm in several situations. Seasons, foods and Japanese traditional things make this atmosphere. People’s intonation and facial expression are changed by each situation where the sense of composure is felt.



When people see the red leaves in autumn, and cherry blossoms in spring, they become calm and their eyes stare at them. People make their own world with the atmosphere and they can’t hear any noise and their mouths becomes a half-open.



When people drink Japanese tea, they become calm and a sigh leaks from their mouth. Their strain loosens from their bodies and their voices change softly.
When people listen to Koto music, they can’t do anything. Their arms are folded and they close their eyes. They look like they are sleeping. People stay relaxed and dislike talking.
When people take a hot spring bath, they make a big sigh. They close their eyes, and their hands and feet are lengthened. They look up at the sky and some wash their faces in the tub, other sing a song.
When people smell incense, their voices change to a whisper. Almost all people turn off or dim out the room light. People can relax with the scent of incense and the atmosphere of the room.
Japanese culture has many calm elements. People respect the atmosphere and they are integrate into the surroundings. To become calm is good for the body and also for the heart. Let’s touch the calm culture.
